SATOP-Substance Abuse Traffic Offender
Program What is SATOP? The Substance Abuse Traffic Offender Program is a statewide mandated
system of comprehensive, accessible, community-based education and treatment
options for individuals arrested in SATOP is a 2-Step program requiring a screening interview followed by attendance in one of four programs. Step 1-The Screening A screening is an hour appointment where you come in and fill out paperwork, take a true/false, multiple choice test, and then have an interview with a state certified substance abuse counselor. We provide these screenings in 4 mid-Missouri Locations with both afternoon and evening hours. Cost of Screening: $126 State set Agency Fee $249 Mental Health Earnings Fee $375 Total Fee Fee Increase Effective 7/1/10 Step 2-The Programs During the interview portion of your screening the counselor will refer you to one of the following programs. You must complete this program in order to complete SATOP. Offender Education Program (OEP) This is a 10-hour education program offered in either two consecutive
weeknights or a Friday night and Saturday in Cost: $130 Fee Increase Effective 7/1/10 Adolescent Diversion Education Program (ADEP) This is a 10-hour education program offered in either two consecutive

Weekend Intervention Program (WIP) This is a 48-hour program (Friday afternoon-Sunday afternoon) in our Cost: $250-$440.52—If applying for State Assistance (These fees are based on income) Fee Increase Effective 7/1/10 |

Clinical Intervention Program (CIP) This program provides a total of 50 hours of Individual & Group Counseling and Education. You would be referred to another agency for this program. Cost: $250-$1005.91—If applying for State Assistance (These fees are based on income) Fee Increase Effective 7/1/10 Serious and Repeat Offender Program (SROP) This program provides 75 hours of extended counseling. To complete this program it will take no less than 90 days. Education, group discussion and individual sessions with substance abuse counselors. You will be referred to the agency in your area. Cost: $250-Varies—If applying for State Assistance (These fees are based on income) Fee Increase Effective 7/1/10 |
